I have often been asked why I laugh so much. It is difficult to pinpoint the reason for this, but maybe it's because I learned early on that it made me feel better. The Mayo Clinic recently released an article about the benefits of laughter and how it reduces your stress level.
Where do you begin to incorporate laughter into your life daily? My favorite way is to choose people who even at the age of 60+ years old still practice the art of "play". Yes, adults can and should play too!

This is my friend Cindy; she loves to play dress-up. Last week she sent me a GIF of a person with a white wig and rhinestone glasses that said, "Pool is Open". It made her laugh, so the next thing I knew the pool party had a theme. We floated and danced around in the pool with the wigs and glasses on all afternoon. We took silly photos, made memories, and most importantly laughed.

My husband, Bobby, makes me laugh every day. He makes up new words to old songs and is always looking for a photo-op to put on Facebook to make other people laugh. Last week in Santa Fe, NM he set this photo up after we had dinner at 315, btw the Country Pate is fantastic. Everywhere we go, we make people laugh...primarily because of him. I'm his straight woman.

Don't be afraid to act silly, laugh out loud, or make a fool of yourself to get others to laugh. You are doing yourself and them a great favor, by offering them a chance to be healthier through laughter. Go ahead laugh it up and the world will laugh with you!
